This is the last week to visit Tai Kwun Contemporary's exhibition series Stay Connected: Art and China Since 2008!
During the final weekend of the show (30 to 31 May), the artist collective Foreign Investment will hold a closing sale each day from 2pm – 5pm of gilded objects from the participatory project WANTED, UNWANTED AND WANTED AGAIN: THE ALCHEMY PROJECT on 2/F of JC Contemporary. Bid for one golden artwork at an affordable price! As part of Stay Connected: Supplying the Globe, Foreign Investment’s participatory project has collected unwanted items from the public and has transformed them through gilding. This process of covering objects in gold changes their value while the project asks us to reconsider the price of labour in the global systems that sustain capitalism.
Come see the golden objects and find one that is the right size and price for you!
Octone Foundation is the lead patron of Stay Connected: Art and China Since 2008.
