In December 2017, Mr. He Fan, Chairman of Octone Foundation , participated in organizing and launching the 「罕．圓夢-守護快樂嘉年華」. The event was successfully held at the Hong Kong Science Park in Sha Tin, Hong Kong, to bring the community's attention to this group of little angels suffering from rare diseases, to build a bridge of love, to fulfill the dreams of the children, and to promote the culture of charity. The event attracted over 1,000 visitors, and Sha Tin District Councilor Mr. Stanley Li Sai-wing, MH, JP and Islands District Councilor Mr Kwong Koon Wan, MH were invited to attend the event.
Children from the Rare Disease Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Rett Syndrome Association were invited to participate in the Carnival to ensure that people of different ages and sectors in the community could experience the exciting activities of the Carnival.
Octone Foundation hopes that through this Carnival, we can show our love and care to the children, and at the same time, make the community more concerned about children suffering from rare diseases.
At the event, a group of charity ambassadors, including So Wai Yan, were led by Caring Charity Ambassador Ms. Winnie Yan to spread the message of caring for rare diseases. Singers such as Han Ziliang, Wang Wen and Lee Mei Lin sang and danced on the stage, pushing the atmosphere of the whole venue to the highest level, and jointly helping to spread love, attracting many members of the public to stop and watch, clapping and cheering for them.
To enable the public to experience the culture of charity from a distance, interactive services such as booth games, handicrafts and face painting were set up at the Carnival site to share the feeling of participating in charity with more people.
