On August 23, the Octone Foundation, in collaboration with the East Kowloon Residents' Association, and with the assistance of the Hong Kong Emperor Group and China Travel Bus, held the "Bing" Presenting Intent · DIY Mooncake Workshop, organizing 30 grassroots families in the Wong Tai Sin District to learn how to make custard mooncakes, taught in person by Master Ye Wing-Hwa, the custard mooncake founder of the Peninsula Hotel, and Master Lai Wing-Kwun, a Michelin two-star pastry master. This allowed children and parents to make mooncakes together, reflecting the meaning of family reunion during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Vice Chairman of the Octone Charity Foundation Zhang Gong stated that the foundation has been co-hosting various charity activities with the East Kowloon Residents Committee. The Mid-Autumn Festival has long been a traditional and important festival in the hearts of Chinese people. As the festival approaches, we are fortunate to invite two famous pastry masters to teach on-site, from filling preparation to shaping into mooncakes. The entire process can provide students and parents with a unique Mid-Autumn experience. The Mid-Autumn Festival does not have to be about admiring the moon and eating mooncakes at home; this time, parents can bring their children to participate in this parent-child mooncake making activity, which is more conducive to communication and relationship building between parents and children.
The chairman of Hong Kong Huangyue Group, Yan Yunbo, stated that the company has supported activities for five years, and this event is organized for the children of grassroots families in the Wong Tai Sin District. He hopes that on this happy day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, children from different social classes can also feel the atmosphere of this festival. He also mentioned that the company has been passing down traditions and wishes to promote the culture of eating mooncakes during the Mid-Autumn Festival to every corner of the world.

This event has garnered extensive coverage from multiple media outlets.
