The program began with a visit to CHAT’s summer exhibition, “Weave and Shout!” The exhibition transformed the museum space into a lively and playful creative playground, bringing together artists from Australia, Hong Kong and Indonesia, including Agus Nur Amal PM To, Chan Wai Lap and Slow Art Collective. Using everyday materials such as yarn, the artists created works that encouraged visitors to engage with art through direct participation. The young participants were invited to touch the artworks, interact freely with the installations and express themselves openly. They also took part in a collective weaving activity, discovering the joy of art through hands-on and sensory experiences.

Following the exhibition visit, the young participants took part in a unique towel nunchaku workshop. Led by Hong Kong martial artist and nunchaku specialist Lau Man Leung, the workshop used towels as props to introduce participants to the history and development of nunchaku. They learned basic movements and gradually practiced combining them into smooth and complete sequences. Through physical training, the activity encouraged participants to develop concentration, coordination and a spirit of teamwork.

Through programs that combine artistic and physical experiences, Octone Foundation hopes to broaden the horizons of young people in residential care, provide opportunities for emotional expression, and build their confidence. By engaging in play and creative exploration, participants are encouraged to develop positive and meaningful experiences of personal growth.
