We were honored to accept the invitation from the Po Leung Kuk Toddlers Group to lead a group of volunteers to participate in this special outing with the children. The arrangement of this activity was not only meaningful, but also showed the love and support from the community to the children.
On the day of the event, with the generous support of our sponsors, we arrived at the Ronald McDonald House with the young children for an unforgettable journey. One of the highlights of the trip was the party that the sponsors had prepared especially for the children. At the party, the children were not only able to enjoy great food and fun games, but also had the opportunity to interact with the volunteers and other children, which is important for them to enhance their social skills and learn basic social etiquette.
The core objective of this program is to provide the children with the opportunity to experience interaction with the outside world, to build up connections, and to learn how to integrate into society. More importantly, every aspect of the program aims to let the children feel valued and affirmed, boost their self-confidence, and inject more happy memories into their growth.
also realized that such activities not only had a positive impact on the physical and mental development of the children, but also gave our volunteer team members the opportunity to participate in a meaningful cause. In the process of accompanying the children, we witnessed their innocent smiles and sincere feelings, which strengthened our belief in promoting charity work.
