Organized by United Publishing Group and the Kowloon Youth Joint Conference, and co-organized by the Octone Foundation, the 4th “National Knowledge Quiz” Grand Finals and Award Ceremony were successfully held on 19th December 2025 at the Yau Ma Tei Multicultural Centre. Under the theme “Celebrating the National Games - Understanding the Nation,” the competition integrated topics such as national sports development, the history of the National Games, and cooperation within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through online quizzes and inter-school competitions, the event encouraged young people to learn about national development while promoting sportsmanship and patriotism.
This year’s competition attracted remarkable participation — over 100 secondary schools and more than 50,000 public participants registered, with online quiz attempts exceeding 200,000 times. These results highlight the strong social support and growing interest in national education across all sectors.
The final event was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Leung Hung-ching, Deputy Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs; Mr. Kwok Cheung-yung, Deputy Director of the Kowloon Work Department, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Lee Chi-ping, Vice Chairman and CEO of United Publishing Group; and Mr. Ho Fan, Chairman of Octone Foundation, along with representatives from the education and youth sectors.
Mr. Ho Fan, Chairman of Octone Foundation, stated, “Our foundation has always been committed to nurturing holistic youth development. Through education, culture, and hands-on initiatives, we aim to inspire young people to better understand and connect with their nation. This event is not only a competition of knowledge but also an exchange of hearts — where understanding leads to recognition, and recognition transforms into contribution.”
Mr. Ho added that Octone Foundation will continue to join hands with partners from various sectors to further enrich national education in diverse ways. The foundation will uphold the spirit of “unity of knowledge and action,” empowering young people to grow through integration and move forward together in a shared future.
